How prevent and repair an online reputation

By Gil Rudawsky | Published: January 20, 2011

What can you do if your online reputation has been damaged, whether by others or your own mistakes? A Huffington Post columnist offers four good tips:
1. Be upfront
2. Apologize
3. Get it down
4. Own your SEO
Our Groundfloor issues management team works with our clients to address each of these issues. We would add another important tip: Have a plan to prevent bad news from happening. Remember, unlike the print media, which becomes fish wrap once the next edition comes out, online stories and information live on. And in some cases, even gain momentum.
